It appears Black Friday has cost at-least one worker their life this year. In a mob rush, shoppers plowed through the doors of a Wal-Mart on Long Island, NY hungry for the after Thanksgiving holiday sales and several people were knocked down and injured in the crush.

While 3 or 4 people suffered minor injuries, including a 28 year old pregnant woman, one 34 year old employee died under the feet of hundreds of bargain shoppers who broke down the doors of the store to get inside for the deals and sales.

I’ve been trying to make my postings here more positive and encouraging recently, and I understand that times are hard for all of us right now, but to think we’re willing and capable of killing someone just to save a few pennies only reminds me that the worst thing in this world is ourselves.

This wasn’t a bum-rush of starving people at a food giveaway, the piss-poor behavior could at-least be rationalized in that case.

This was Average-Joe and his Soccor-Mom wife out for cheap socks and other crap to shove under the tree.

Merry Freakin’ Christmas.
